HTM - AG Addy's Ice Cream Freezer

A craft made with household/craft items turned into a pretty cool American Girl accessory.

I went on a scavenger hunt around my house once I decided what I wanted to try to make next for our AG dollhouse.  Looked at Addy's freezer (we don't have Addy) but I liked the freezer and it looked like it was something I could put together.  After scouring my house, I found popsicle sticks (small) a laundry detergent cap, craft paint, hot glue gun, beads, a paper clip and some jewelry wire and I was off and running.

I painted the craft sticks brown and glued them around the laundry cap.  I wrapped a small plastic bottle in silver tape for the middle piece of the freezer then topped it off with another craft stick.  I then glued on the paper clip which I cut and shaped as the turning handle of the freezer and added a bead to the handle.  I then wrapped 2 strips of black electrical tape around the laundry cap as the trim to the freezer.  I shaped the jewelry wire and secured it to the cap under the tape and glued it down with 2 beads in the middle to form the wooden handle on the freezer.  Then I added "Ice King" words to the front and mission accomplished.  Watch my YouTube video which gives a detailed description of how I put it together.

Of course, you can substitute some of the supplies, like using black foam for the trim and of course, different beads and wiring.  Pretty close to the real one and fun to make.....Now let's see....where will I put it. LOL

Happy Easter!
